Cognitive Hypnotherapy is a modern approach to hypnosis and it can be used to change the behaviour you no longer want to experience. It enables you to deal with what ever it is you believe is holding you back, so helping you move forward with your life.
Cognitive Hypnotherapy is an interactive therapy and it uses recent discoveries and ideas from a variety of approaches, not just hypnotherapy but Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), Cognitive theory, Positive Psychology and many more, to help you make lasting change in your life.

How it works:
Cognitive Hypnotherapy can be used to change the behaviour we no longer want to experience. It enables you to deal with what ever it is you believe is holding you back and so helping you to move forward with your life.
My aim is to help you overcome your problem in the shortest space of time you feel comfortable with. As a Quest trained Cognitive Hypnotherapist I have many tools to help find the solution to your problem. One of these tools is the use of tance.
Cognitive Hypnotherapy works on the basis that trance is an everyday occurrence (rather than a speacil state someone can only put you into) for example, daydreaming is a form of trance. When you are doing or experiencing your problem, you are also in a form of a trance.
Cognitive Hypnotherapist use trance because we are much more open to suggestion and change compared to when we are not.
What happens in a session?
Each session will be specifically tailored to you and your problem. I will work with whatever you present to me because the way you do and experience your problem is completely unique to you, meaning the solution has to be to.
I have a wide variety of techniques to utilise from many disciplines, found to be the most effective tools for change so far. This means I can pick the best techniques and interventions for you, enabling you to overcome your problem in the shortest space of time you feel comfortable with.
I will always aim to resolve the root cause of your problem and not just treat the symtoms.
A session can include the use of an intervention, trance and Wordweaving. Cognitive Hypnotherapist don’t believe a deep trance is required for change to occur. If trance is used in a session, you will be in complete control at all times.
Wordweaving’s are suggestion patterns created by me specifically tailored to you. These unique suggestion patterns help change your perception of your problem, so enabling you to become free of what ever it is holding you back or you would like to change. If Wordweaving is used, I will provide you with a copy of it to use at home.
I run a friendly and relaxed practise, providing a professional service in line with the National Council of Hypnotherapy’s Standards and Ethics, whom I am a member of.
Length of session:
1 hour but please allow up to 90 minutes for your first session.
